A cataract is a medical condition where your lens becomes cloudy and gradually impacts your vision despite the use of glasses. In some cases, cataracts can present in a younger age group (between 40 and 55 years old) this may be due to some predispositions (inherited conditions).
Diabetes is one of these medical conditions which can cause an early onset of cataracts. While the condition may trigger cataracts at an early age, most patients presented with cataracts will be over the age of 60.
